Students learn to analyze and construct arguments in symbolic language using deductive reasoning.
Logic 2 builds on Logic 1’s treatment of the nature of truth, the means of knowing, and the justification of belief. It focuses, though, on the formal elements of categorical and propositional logics.
Topics include syllogisms, symbolic language, truth tables, truth trees, proofs, and a brief introduction to debate concepts and skills. Studying logic is a vital part of learning to think well.
