Living With Hope: A True story of Faith, Purpose and Mobility

By: Michael Panther

“For all his many challenges; for all the years he suffered through the South Sudan war; for all his incalculable losses, Michael still keeps his winning smile. It’s what makes me love Jesus more when I am around him. And I’m happy to tell you that the book you hold in your hands will do the same.”  — From the foreword by Joni Eareckson Tada

Living with Hope is a testament to God’s purpose and plan for every life and of the hope to be found anchored in a relationship with Jesus and rooted in his sovereign goodness.

Product Description

Born into the Dinka Bor tribe in war-torn South Sudan, Michael was ten years old when he began to lose movement in his legs. He and his family soon realized that any hospital that could help him would take months to walk to—and walking was no longer an option for Michael.

God reached into this seemingly hopeless situation and took Michael on both a spiritual and physical journey of incredible grace. Michael’s adventures in Kenya and the USA eventually led to the formation of a widespread ministry that provides resources and training to people with disabilities in Africa.

“Michael Panther’s epic journey is truly miraculous. His gripping saga calls forth every emotion – from fear to courage, from unthinkable pain to hope, from despair to resurrection. With an indomitable faith in the Lord, Michael survived ethnic slaughter, starvation, and deadly disease to triumph and find his Calling. His return to Africa to help those so desperately in need is a testament that God has chosen Michael Panther.”
–Dr. Richard D. White, Dean Emeritus, Louisiana State University
