Electricity: Dr. Dave’s Teaching Manual

This manual offers an introduction to basic electricity. It covers the fundamentals of circuits, insulators and conductors, batteries, resistance, and magnetism, and it concludes with a lesson on static electricity and lightning. The book also explains how to make an electromagnet, as well as how to construct a battery from orange juice. There are instructions for dozens of instructor demonstrations, simple experiments for students to try, and recommendations for ways that advanced students can delve into the material more deeply.

The book comes with downloadable worksheets for children, as well as an array of downloadable images to project for the students to see. It is appropriate for teaching children ages 8-13 (grades 3-7).
