All About ReadingĀ is a scripted, open-and-go program, developed for busy parents, teachers, and tutors who want to teach reading in the most effective way possible.
Continue your student’s progress on the pathway to reading withĀ All About ReadingĀ Level 2. When you order this set of Level 2 Materials, you’ll receive these four items:

Please note:Ā In addition to the Level 2 Materials, you will also need either the Basic or DeluxeĀ Reading Interactive Kit. The Interactive Kit contains non-consumable items that are used throughout the entireĀ All About ReadingĀ program. If you are already usingĀ All About Spelling, you can use the same Letter Tiles andĀ Phonogram SoundsĀ app, and will only need to add theĀ Reading Divider CardsĀ andĀ Reading Review Box.

Your student will learn exciting new concepts, including three-letter blends, the jobs of Silent E, new phonograms, and methods for decoding multi-syllable words ā and continue to establish a firm foundation for a lifetime of learning. Every component of reading is taught: decoding (phonics and structural analysis), vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Below is a sampling in each area.
Decoding (Phonics)
- Learn phonograms WH, EE, ER, AR, OR, ED, OY, OI, AW, AU, OW, and OU
- Read words containing the new phonograms, such asĀ whale,Ā sheep,Ā herd,Ā farm,Ā horn,Ā toy,Ā boil,Ā saw,Ā haul,Ā flower, andĀ found
- Read words with long I or O before two consonants, as inĀ findĀ andĀ gold
- Read words with soft C, as inĀ race
- Read words with soft G, as inĀ gem
- Learn the first four jobs of Silent E
Decoding (Structural Analysis)
- Identify base words
- Read contractions, such asĀ theyāll
- Learn syllable division rules for reading multisyllabic words
- Read words with past tense endingĀ ed, including all three sounds, as inĀ wanted,Ā snowed, andĀ chipped
Vocabulary
- Discuss new words in the context of the story and oneās own life
- Understand homophones
